Payson Man Sentenced for Criminal Sexual Assault

A Payson man was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to sexual assault charges.

In Adams County Circuit Court, 30 year old Nicholas Havermale pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal sexual assault. He was sentenced to eight years and three months on each count, with the sentences to run separately.

Havermale is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 15 year old girl in her home last April.

Havermale must serve 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
