Running out of gas leads to three drug related arrests Wednesday by Hannibal Police.
An officer on patrol found a vehicle stopped on Palmyra Road near College Avenue. While the officer was stopping traffic… one of the occupants threw and item out of the window. The officer retrieved what is believed to be methamphetamine from the roadway. Three people exited the car in a parking lot and the officer contacted two males. A third individual walked to a nearby shopping center. During the investigation… police found meth… prescription pills… marijuana paraphernalia and items used in the production of meth. Officers arrested 28 year old Joshua Rickey of Hannibal for possession of a controlled substance… unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school. 22 year old Austin Rickey was arrested for possession of a controlled substance… unlawful use of drug paraphernalia… tampering with physical evidence and conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school. 30 year old Kenny Schweiter of Shelbyville was arrested in nearby shopping center for possession of a controlled substance and marijuana… a parole violation and conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school. All three were taken to the Marion County Jail. Charges are being reviewed by the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney.
