Newcomb Hotel Site Cleanup Underway

Demolition cleanup on the Newcomb Hotel building is getting underway. Clearing the site at 4th and Maine is expected to take six to eight weeks.

BSB development is handling the work. Plans are to salvage some of the historic parts of the building including the fluted columns and dedication plaque.

The city of Quincy will pay the $441,000 costs for the work.
