One Arrest Follows Quincy Shooting

A 23 year old male is recovering from a non life threatening gunshot wound following an incident at a party near 18th and Oak at 2:23 Sunday morning.

Quincy Police were called to that area and arrived to observe several people running from 1822 Oak. An officer arriving on the scene made contact at that residence and found the 23 year old male. As additional officers arrived… a vehicle was spotted leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Police stopped that vehicle near 12th and Oak. Two juvenile males and two adult males were taken into custody. Both juveniles and one adult were released from custody. Police arrested 19 year old Octavian Haley of Burlington on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Haley was taken to the Adams County Jail.
