MU Tigers in Citrus Bowl New Years Day

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - No. 16 Missouri plays Minnesota in the Citrus Bowl (1 p.m. Eastern).

The Tigers are in their second consecutive New Year's Day bowl for the first time since 1960-61, and are looking to post their third straight bowl win following victories in the 2011 Independence Bowl and 2014 Cotton Bowl. UNDATED (AP) - For the first time, two national semifinal college football playoff games will be played. They are later today with Oregon playing unbeaten Florida State in the Rose Bowl followed by top-ranked Alabama taking on Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - The New Year's Day bowl schedule kicks off with the Outback Bowl in Tampa (Noon Eastern). The 10-3 Wisconsin Badgers out of the Big Ten travel southward to take on 8-4 Auburn out of the Southeastern Conference.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - The Cotton Bowl Classic is being played at AT&T Stadium outside Dallas and kicks off at 12:30 p.m. (Eastern). The once-beaten Baylor Bears will play 10-2 Michigan State.
