More Snow on the Way to Northeast MO, Western IL
Just as northeast Missouri and western Illinois starts its recovery from the ice and snow that hit Friday and Saturday, here comes another round of winter weather.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the entire area from Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning.
For the Hannibal/Quincy area, snow is expected to develop Tuesday morning and continue through Tuesday evening. The weather service expects the snow to come quickly. That, along with temperatures in the teens and 20s and winds up to 25 miles per hour, could make for hazardous driving conditions.
Right now, forecasters are calling for five to eight inches of snow out of this system.
There is another chance of winter precip Friday night into Saturday. Earlier, forecasters said that this could be another major weather event, but they have backed off that prediction.
