More Extra Enforcement on US 61 Near New London

Extra traffic enforcement on US 61 near Ralls County Route A Saturday morning results in 17 citations and four warnings. Ralls County Sheriff’s deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped 21 vehicles in that area between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Deputies say one of the vehicle stopped was clocked at 96 miles per hour. The Ralls County Sheriff’s Department says they are taking a proactive and aggressive stance to curb dangerous driving in the area around US 61 and Route A. That intersection is the site of numerous serious traffic crashes over the years.
