Even though I do have some outlaw blood in me, I'd never recommend that you or anyone else break the law. However, if you really need to have your vehicle stolen, I have it on good information that you really should consider parking it in Missouri.

I was born and raised in Missouri (notice I did not say I matured) and I love the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. Those two facts are probably related based on a new ranking I've seen that shows when it comes to stealing cars, few states can equal or best Missouri.

Street Insider shared the new sparkling top 10 states for vehicle thefts and Missouri proudly appears near the top in multiple categories. Missouri is #10 for total volume of vehicle thefts and moves up to #7 when theft rate comes into play. Memphis Raines would be proud.

The data comes from a brand new 2024 report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Think about this for a second. Even Texas doesn't have a higher vehicle theft rate than Missouri. I have friends in the Lonestar State who do nothing other than bragging about stealing borrowing stuff. Congrats, Missouri on an incredible accomplishment of bettering Texas at infamous things.

There's another fun car theft Missouri fact. Only half of the states can claim their vehicle theft rate increased from 2022 to 2023 and yes, Missouri one one of them.

Back to my original point. If you want/need your vehicle taken off your hands. Park it in Missouri. Bonus points if it's in the St. Louis area. That's a sure winner loser.
