You never know what you'll find under and old abandoned building in Missouri. That has rarely been truer than what explorers just found under an old abandoned Missouri courthouse. It was a secret fallout shelter that has hasn't been seen in decades - until now.

A few quick disclaimers and a comment. I'm a big fan of the Decaying Midwest YouTube channel. They often explore interesting old Missouri places and this is certainly that. However, I don't recommend doing what they do. I have no idea if they had permission to be where they ended up and you don't want to end up on the wrong side of the law. I'll assume they did all of this legally.

Based on their YouTube short they just dropped, they became aware that there was an underground tunnel that enabled access to an abandoned Missouri courthouse which they accessed through a still-active power plant.

What they didn't expect to find was a secret fallout shelter complete with the seal of the state of Missouri and emergency water supplies.

Eerie. Once they made their way through the secret fallout shelter, they did find an underground entrance into the abandoned courthouse. They don't disclose the location other than it's in Missouri and I won't try to guess.

Their YouTube short is a much watch if you find abandoned Missouri places interesting. I just wouldn't try to duplicate their achievement if I were you.
