A Quincy man is held on methamphetamine and other charges after West Central Illinois Task Force agents used a search warrant at his home at 901 ½ North 12th in Quincy early Thursday morning.

Task Force agents say 41-year-old James Barnd was arrested without incident. He’s held on Class X felony charges of aggravated participation in meth production along with other meth related charges. Barnd is also charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and for failure to appear on a previous drug charge in Morgan County.

Officers report seizing methamphetamine, marijuana, a stun gun and drug paraphernalia.
