McMaster’s Avenue Center Turn Lane to Reopen Overnight Friday

One of the more inconvenient parts of traveling recently on McMasters Avenue in Hannibal comes to an end late Friday night.

According to officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation, the center turn lane on McMasters from Highway 61 to Stardust Drive will be reopened overnight Friday.

The center lane had been closed so that construction crews could do sidewalk, curb and guttering work along both sides of 61, and so improvements could be made at the Stardust/Pirate Pride Drive intersection.

MODOT says that there is still cleanup work to be done, but that no further lane closures are expected until resurfacing begins around the middle of September.
