A Quincy man accused of stabbing his son on Father’s Day made his first appearance in Adams County Circuit Court Monday.

62 year old Jay Schroder is charged with aggravated battery, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Schroder is alleged to have stabbed a male victim at a residence in the 1700 block of Sycamore Sunday afternoon. The victim was taken to Blessing Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Bond was set at $25,000 with conditions of no contact with the victim and Schroder must stay 1,000 feet away from the victim and his residence, along with wearing a GPS surveillance monitor.

Schroder’s next court date is June 27th.
