Lewis County Man Charged with Domestic Assault

A rural Lewis County man has been charged in connection with a domestic disturbance last week.

Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish reports that deputies were called to a trailer park near LaGrange last Friday on a report of a domestic disturbance.

A female victim told officers she had been punched in the stomach and elbowed.

As a result, deputies took 35 year old Nicholas Andrews into custody.
In Lewis County Circuit Court Monday, Andrews was officially charged with one count of domestic assault in the third degree.

After his court appearance, Andrews was released on a recognizance bond.
