LaBelle Man Jailed on Domestic Assault Charges

A LaBelle man is in the Lewis County Jail on assault charges.

Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies received a call from a medical facility Monday regarding a female who had sustained major injuries from a domestic incident at a home in rural LaBelle.

An investigation led to the arrest of 57 year old Daniel Hartgrave for first degree assault. Hartgrave is alleged to have struck the female with two different objects.

Hartgrave is being held on $100,000 cash only bond.
