Texas Man Arrested in Lewis County on Theft, Drug Charges

A Texas man is arrested Sunday in Lewis County on theft and drug related charges.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office received a stolen vehicle report from Quincy Police.

The vehicle was spotted on Highway 61 in Lewis County and was stopped by a LaGrange Police officer.

As a result, 45 year old Terry Benton of Huntsville, Texas was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and possession of meth.

Benton is in the Lewis County Jail on $20,000 bond.
