A neighborhood assist grant from State Farm Insurance gives a 25-thousand dollar boost to Hannibal's Kids In Motion Program.

Ryan Kenney of State Farm presented a check to Kids In Motion officials Friday morning at Hannibal Middle School. Kenney says two thousand programs applied for grants nationwide. A Youth Advisory Board chose 200 finalists for on line voting over a three week period. Kenney says the people of Hannibal showed what a caring community Hannibal is.
State Farm has donated over five million dollars nationwide through this program over the last five years. Kids In Motion Executive Director Amy Vaughn says the money will help Kids in Motion and Teens in Motion to help more kids in the coming months.
