Juvenile Arrested Following Hannibal Elementary School Break In

Surveillance at Oakwood Elementary School leads to the arrest of a juvenile last Thursday.
Detectives working with the department’s Anti Crime Enforcement Squad and school resource officers
had been conducting surveillance over the last couple of weeks following a series of break-ins. After
the arrest… officers received consent to search the juvenile’s residence. Several items believed stolen from the school were located and taken as evidence. The juvenile was taken to a juvenile detention facility in Columbia.
