Judge Bringer-Sheperd Assigned to Two High Profile Pike Co Cases
A Marion County judge is assigned to preside over a murder and a rape case in Pike County Missouri.
Rachel Bringer-Shepherd will oversee the Michael Lee Phillips and Timothy Lavel Wright cases. The two suspects had requested a change of judge in Pike County.
Phillips is charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death last August 31 of his son, 22-year-old Jeff Chisholm.
Wright is charged with rape, sodomy and burglary. He allegedly entered a Bowling Green apartment and assaulted a woman on the morning of February 15 of this year.
No new hearings have been set. Phillips and Wright were originally scheduled for separate trial dates in August, but those may change.
