A Bowling Green man is in custody following the discovery Monday of a stolen vehicle in Hannibal.
Police say a citizen reported seeing the vehicle in the 1400 block of Market. Officers arrived and made contact with 48 year old Patrick Niffen of Bowling Green and 38 year old James Hartwick of Louisiana. Hannibal Police confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen in Pike County Missouri. Niffen was arrested for tampering with a motor vehicle and on outstanding warrants from Pike County. Hartwick was arrested for possession
of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. Niffen was taken to the Marion County Jail pending formal filing of charges. Hartwick was questioned and released.
