A Jefferson City man has been convicted of killing a woman with whom he had a relationship while she was separated from her husband, who was also shot to death.

The Jefferson City News Tribune reports a jury deliberated less than two hours Wednesday before convicting 58-year-old David Hosier first-degree murder and other charges.

Angela and Ronald Gilpin were shot to death in September 2009 at Angela's Jefferson City apartment. Prosecutors said Angela Gilpin had an affair with Hosier while separated from her husband, but the Gilpins were trying to reconcile.

Hosier was charged in both killings, and the jury heard testimony about both. But the judge clarified Wednesday that this week's trial was only for Angela's death. The status of the case in Ronald's death is unclear.
