Hannibal Public Schools officials are eyeing potential upgrades to Porter Stadium.
A committee is in place to explore options. One issue is a playing surface nearing the end of its useful life. District officials say they are looking at funding options other than a bond issue. The Hannibal Board of Education has given the committee permission to seek bids for the project to see what the exact cost would be. Early estimates peg the cost at around 500-thousand dollars.
