A call to a domestic disturbance shortly after 7:00 pm in the 1800 block of Booker in Hannibal ends with a pursuit and a traffic crash at 3rd and Center.

Hannibal Police say they learned that 62 year old Sterling Owens of Hannibal was one of the individuals involved in the disturbance. Police saw Owens’ vehicle at Missouri 79 and Union and initiated a traffic stop. When asked to get out of his truck… he fled north on Third at a high rate of speed. Police reports indicate Owens veered into the oncoming lane of traffic and lost control at 3rd and Center, striking the Hannibal Courier Post building at 200 North Third. Owens was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Hannibal Police say Owens faces multiple traffic charges.
