Hannibal Police Turn Attention to Abandoned, Junk Cars
Hannibal Police will soon be addressing abandoned and junk vehicles.
Lieutenant John Zerbonia says officers will take note of vehicles including those on private property in violation of current municipal code.
Police ask for your cooperation in voluntarily removing these vehicles before police intervention becomes necessary.
Community Service officers will be marking vehicles found in violation and they will attempt to contact owners if they’re available when the vehicle is marked.
Police say unmoved vehicles will be subject to tow.
