Hannibal Police want to reduce vehicle thefts and items stolen from vehicles.
Police encourage you to lock your vehicle and remove valuables and keys when leaving the vehicle unattended. Officers say that in over 80 percent of vehicle thefts reported to Hannibal Police, keys were left in the vehicle. Police Chief Lyndell Davis says removing keys and valuables won’t eliminate vehicle thefts and burglaries but it can cut down on this type of crime.
