Hannibal Man Fires Attorney, Awaits Sentencing

A Hannibal man convicted of charges by an Adams County jury in July fired his attorney Wednesday.

46 year old Euron Matthews had made a motion to dismiss his counsel. That request was granted Wednesday.

It took less than 20 minutes for a jury to find Matthews guilty of being an armed habitual criminal and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Matthews is alleged to have fired a handgun at a car on November 12th, 2016 in the 500 block of Lind.

Matthews will represent himself at his sentencing, whick is set for September 14th.
