Hannibal Man Drowns in Spencer Creek

A Hannibal man drowned Saturday while swimming in Spencer Creek.
Emergency responders were called to Spencer Creek three miles north of Frankford at 5:15 Saturday afternoon. Highway Patrol investigators say 20 year old Isaiah Vaughn was an inexperienced swimmer and began to go under. Witnesses were unsuccessful in an attempt to rescue him. A Marion County deputy was able to locate Vaughn. Vaughn was pronounced dead at Hannibal Regional Hospital at 7:30 Saturday night.
