Hannibal Police say a man under investigation for a bomb threat to a local business is in custody.
Police say that as an officer was investigating a traffic accident in the 100 block of North 7th around 12:30 p-m Thursday… a passenger in a vehicle unrelated to the crash identified as 22 year old Damien McCulley of Hannibal made threatening gestures towards the officer with a handgun and shouted at the officer. Police later located the vehicle and McCulley was taken into custody during a traffic stop without incident. A handgun was recovered from the vehicle. Warrants were issued Friday by the 10th Judicial Circuit charging McCulley with unlawful use of a weapon… harassment in the first degree and armed criminal action for the incident involving police. McCulley is also charged with harassment in the first degree and making a terroristic threat for the bomb threat. Bond is set at 25-thousand dollars for each incident. McCulley is held in the Marion County Jail.
