Hannibal Man Arrested for Interfering

A Hannibal man faces felony interfering with an officer charges following an incident Sunday afternoon in the 1100 block of Ely Street.
Hannibal Police were called to assist Ralls County deputies in apprehending a man wanted for questioning on attempted murder charges. While authorities were on the scene… police say 30 year old David James Ranabarger attempted to interfere. Police say he was yelling at officers as he approached and was making throat cutting motions at officers. After the original suspect was taken into custody… Ranabarger attempted to block a police vehicle from leaving and threw an object at the driver. Other officers on scene arrested Ranabarger. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
