The Hannibal Hoots' winning ways continued Sunday, as they came from behind in both games to sweep a double header, 7-2 and 5-2 at Danville.

In game one, the Dans took an early lead with single runs in the first and second innings.The Hoots scored once in the third when second baseman Josh Lane was hit by a pitch and scored on a triple by right fielder Aaron Goecks.

Then, in the fifth, Hannibal turned three walks, a single, two errors and a ground out into five runs, taking a 6-2 lead. They added an insurance run in the seventh and won 7-2.

Victor Gotay was the winning pitcher for the Hoots.

In game two, Danville again took a 2-0 lead with two in the first. Hannibal tied it in the fourth on a bases-loaded single by first baseman Connor Pasko.

Hannibal took the lead in the fifth on a hit by pitch, and RBI singles by shortstop Jose Mercado and third baseman Joe Roscetti.

The Hoots added an insurance run in the sixth, driven in by right fielder Stephen Haring.

Hannibal's Quinton Kujawa was the winning pitcher with a complete game four-hitter.

The double header sweep runs the Hoots' winning streak to six, and improves their season record to 10-17. The Dans fall to 15-13.

Hannibal is home Monday night to face the West Division leading Terre Haute Rex, who have won their last seven. Game time is 6:35 p.m. at Clemens Field.
