The Hannibal Hoots have their first winning streak of the season, winning their second in a row, 6-3 Tuesday at Kokomo.

The Hoots took an early lead in the first on a two-out single by designated hitter/pitcher Dylan Dodd, who went to third on a single by first baseman Jordan Humphries and scored on a wild pitch.

The Jackrabbits scored single runs in the first and second to take a 2-1 lead.

That lasted until the sixth when Dodd led off with a walk and Humphries was hit by a pitch. With one out, Dodd scored on a single by catcher Brady West and Humphries came home on a double by third baseman Connor Pasko.

Hannibal added three insurance runs in the eighth on RBI singles by Pasko, center fielder Tye Thixton and Dodd.

Kokomo scored a run in the ninth, but Hoots' reliever Tyler Lunger shut the door and sealed the win.

Dodd pitched the first six-and-two-thirds innings and picked up his second win of the season.

Hannibal improves to 3-4 with the win, while Kokomo falls to 3-3.

The Hoots open a two-game series against the Paints in Chillicothe Wednesday night.
