The Chillicothe Paints scored four in the first and never looked back Friday, defeating the Hannibal Hoots 18-0 at Clemens Field.

Chillicothe jumped on starter Randall Coxwell in the first with a single, a double, a two-RBI single by center fielder Dillon Dingler and a two-run homer by first baseman Andrew Czech.

The Paints piled on the rest of the way, scoring twice in the third and fourth, three in the sixth, five in the seventh and one each in the eighth and ninth.

Meanwhile, three Chillicothe pitchers shut out Hannibal on four hits.

The division-leading Terre Haute are in Hannibal for a double header at 3:05 p.m. Saturday.
