Springfield added single runs in the third on a triple, an intentional walk and a ground out, in the fourth on a double, an error and a wild pitch and in the fifth on the 14th home run of the season for Sliders' DH Richard Miller.
Hannibal's only run came in the second on a lead-off single by right fielder Patrick Donohue, who stole second, went to third on an error and scored on a single by first baseman Alex Satunas.
The Hoots record falls to 20-30, while the Sliders improve to 27-22.
Hannibal and Springfield meet again Wednesday at Robin Roberts Field in Springfield.
