A recent decision by the Hannibal Board of Education to delay graduation results in a lawsuit.
The suit filed in Marion County by Anna Lemon, Kelly Stroud and Jon Capp alleges the board violated Missouri Sunshine Law by not properly alerting the public regarding what would be discussed at a recent board meeting. The agenda listed discussion about the current school year but some parents say that was not descriptive enough. James Lemon is the attorney for the parents. He says they are asking the court to reverse the decision and that monetary damages are being sought.
