An investigation by the Missouri Highway Patrol into an officer involved shooting incident in downtown is winding down.

The Hannibal Courier Post says reports are being compiled. A highway patrol spokesman says it is not known when the reports will be finalized on the January 24th shooting incident in downtown Hannibal. The report will then be sent on to the Marion County Prosecutor’s office. An internal investigation by Hannibal Police found the officer involved acted within the department’s guidelines for use of force.
