(HANNIBAL)—Hannibal’s city council grants a request to the Jaycees for this summer’s National Tom Sawyer Days after some heated discussion.  Thee Jaycees asked for use of  the downtown parking lot off Bird Street for the festivities and asked to close the lot five days prior to July 4th.
Some Hannibal business owners want the Jaycees to find another location. They say shutting that lot down and closing streets in the downtown will cause them to lose business.
