Hannibal Celebrates 200 Years
This weekend brings several events celebration Hannibal’s bicentennial.
The Budweiser Clydesdales are in town. They’re scheduled to be on hand for Music Under The Stars tonight. The Clydesdales will also be featured in Hannibal’s Bicentennial Parade on Saturday morning. The parade route is a bit different than most parades in Hannibal. The parade begins at 11 a-m Saturday at the Save-A-Lot parking lot at the wedge. The parade will come down Broadway to Third, go north on Third to North Street, over to Main and then proceed south on Main to Broadway.
That will result in the closure of North Third and Missouri 79 to traffic beginning late Saturday morning. That closure is expected by MODOT to last about two hours.
