Palmyra celebrates its bicentennial in a big way Saturday.

Palmyra’s 200th birthday celebration begins with the Kiwanis pancake and sausage breakfast at 7 a.m. at the fire station.

Of course, there will be a parade from the high school to the courthouse at 10 a.m., with a shorter parade for the kids.

After the parade, there will be activities on the courthouse lawn, with speeches, contests and entertainment, featuring Crazy Boy Coy

The scene shifts to Flower City Park in the afternoon, with an open car show, a cornhole tournament, a dogs on parade 3K run/walk, and kids activities, all starting at 1 p.m.

A live auction begins at 6.

There will be music by Mike Coultas at 1, Carson Bock at 2:30, Mike Moore at 4, Liz Bentley at 6:15 and Soul Shaker at 8.
