Guilty Plea in Lewis Co. Attempted Statutory Rape Case

Three years in the Missouri Department of Corrections is the sentence for a man accused of attempted statutory rape in Lewis County.
The Lewis County Sheriff’s department says 44 year old Jesse Huckaby pled guilty to two counts as part of a plea agreement. Pursuant to the agreement those sentences will be served consecutively. An investigation in October of 2018 led to Huckaby’s arrest. Deputies received a report from a concerned parent about texts to two juvenile females. Huckaby was arrested October 7th of 2018 when he went to the Ewing Cemetery to meet the juvenile females. Huckaby was on probation at the time for methamphetamine possession.
