Griggsville Woman Killed in Tuesday ATV Crash

A Griggsville woman dies from injuries suffered in an ATV crash in Griggsville at 8:47 p.m. Tuesday.

Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood reports the driver of the ATV, Jonathon Goertz of Griggsville, was airlifted to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield for treatment.

His passenger, 60 year old Janet Tedrow, also of Griggsville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Goertz was ticketed for DUI, operating a non-highway vehicle on the street and no valid driver’s license.

The fatal crash remains under investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Police.
