There were a total of five injuries, three of them serious, in two separate all-terrain vehicle crashes in northeast Missouri Sunday.

Three juveniles are hurt, two seriously, in a UTV crash on Monroe County Road 410 east of Paris at 6:40 p.m. Sunday.

The Highway Patrol reports the driver, a 15 year old female from Union, Missouri, was southbound when she lost control of the UTV. The vehicle skidded off the road and struck the ground and a tree before overturning.

The driver and a 12 year old male passenger, also from Union, were taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. A second passenger, a 13 year old male from New Haven, Missouri, was taken to Columbia with minor injuries.

 

Two are hurt, one seriously, in an ATV crash on Shelby County Road 250 north of Emden at 2 a.m. Sunday.

The Highway Patrol reports 31 year old Christopher Hensley of Holt, Missouri was westbound when he lost control of his ATV and it overturned in the roadway.

Hensley suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

His passenger, 34 year old Heather Gatson of Philadelphia was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
