A 45-year-old Quincy man is being charged with first-degree murder in the 2006 death of his wife.

According to a release from the Quincy Police Department, Curtis T. Lovelace was taken into custody without incident at approximately 12:15 this afternoon.

A grand jury in Adams County issued the indictment following an investigation into the 2006 death of Cory D. Lovelace, who was found dead in the couple's home on Valentine's Day in 2006. The case was reopened in December and presented to the grand jury.

The State Appellate Prosecutor's Service has been appointed as a special prosecutor in the case.

Bond for Curtis T. Lovelace has been set at $5,000,000.
