The Christmas gift to drivers continues this weekend, with gas prices in Hannibal falling just under the 2 dollar mark.

The average price in the Show-Me state is $1.95 a gallon according to mogasprices.com.  Nationwide, the average price for a gallon of gas stands at $2.30 a gallon.  Just one year ago, the average Missouri price was $3, and the national average was $3.27.
On a personal note, I remember a conversation of a couple of years ago,  in which I predicted we would never see gas prices beginning with a “2” again…and now the price begins with a “1”!  For once, it is nice to be wrong!
