This weekend, a Hannibal art gallery that suffered significant damage in last May's wind storm will host its grand reopening, as part of Second Saturday Gallery Night for the month of November.

Gallery 310 is a cooperative art gallery that suffered extensive damage from the May 20 storm. The roof of the building collapsed and artists were forced to clear their work from the space on the following day. Repairs have taken place throughout the following month, and the gallery reopened informally on November 2.

“It’s a brand new, bright and colorful space now,” said long-time member David Maas. “We are so happy to be back.”

Gallery 310, featuring the work of 13 different artists, is at 310 Main Street. To celebrate its reopening, three drawings will be held for work that will be given away by Gallery 310 artists, at 6:30, 6:45 and 7 p.m. Winners will not need to be present to win. Refreshments and snacks will be served from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Second Saturday Gallery Night takes place in Hannibal's Downtown Art Galleries on the second Saturday of each month. Participating art galleries include: Hannibal Alliance Art Gallery, Fresh Ayers, Main Street Wine Stoppe, Gallery 310 and the Hannibal Arts Council. Second Saturday activities typically include the exhibit of work by local and guest artists, drawings for prizes, and refreshments.
