A fourth Republican has entered the race for the Missouri 18th District Senate seat that will become vacant next year.

Current 3rd District State Representative Nate Walker Wednesday announced his candidacy for the senate seat currently held by Republican Brian Munzlinger, who is prevented by term limits from running for reelection.

This is Walker’s second stint in the Missouri House, serving in the 1980s before the days of term limits.

Walker also ran in the Republican primary for Lieutenant Governor in 1984.

Walker joins fellow house members Craig Redmon and Lindell Shumake, along with businesswoman Cindy O’Laughlin, in next year’s senate GOP primary.
