A Lewis County farmer has announced his intention to run for state representative next year.

Greg Sharpe of rural Ewing announced Wednesday that he plans to run for the 4th District Missouri House seat being vacated by Craig Redmon.

Redmon is prevented by term limits from running for reelection.

Along with running his family farm for over three decades, Sharpe is active with the Lewis County Republican Committee, and is a board member of the Lewis County Farm Bureau.

The 4th District includes all or parts of six counties, including Clark and Lewis counties.
