A Missouri House Republican who voted to uphold Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon's veto of tax-cutting legislation has sent an email to several colleagues criticizing GOP House Speaker Tim Jones.

Nate Walker, of Kirksville, wrote that Jones has become a "disgrace" and has thrown some fellow Republicans under his campaign bus. Jones is considering a run for attorney general.

An attempt to override Nixon's veto failed in the House last week.

Walker says he sent the email this past weekend to 14 Republicans who voted with him and 52 Democrats against an override. He says the email was not intended for public distribution and that he is not out to hurt Jones.

Jones said Tuesday he looks forward to working with Walker to pass legislation that will improve the lives of Missourians.
