Hannibal Police report four arrests after receiving information Wednesday evening on a possible meth lab and an individual wanted on an active warrant.

Police say they noticed a strong chemical smell associated with the production of methamphetamine as they contacted occupants of a room in a motel in the 500 block of Mark Twain Avenue. Police received consent to search the room and located several one pot meth labs, chemicals commonly used to manufacture meth, a substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Hannibal Police say 30-year-old Ashley Johnston, 42-year-old Tracey Conrad and 55-year-old Donald Crooks of Hannibal were arrested along with 37-year-old James Dolbeare of New Canton, Illinois.

Police say all four individuals were taken to the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold. The police report indicated Dolbeare was also arrested on two felony warrants and for interfering with an investigation.

Hannibal firefighters were called in to ventilate the room.
