Four Arrests Follow Park Avenue Shooting in Hannibal

Hannibal Police say three people face attempted robbery charges following a shooting November 20th in the 1700 block of Park Avenue.

Arrest warrants issued in Marion County charging 18 year old Thomas Willemarck of Curryville… 25 year old Stephanie Pettitt of Hannibal and 22 year old John Newman with attempted robbery in the first degree. Police say Newman is also charged with assault in the first degree. Police arrived at the scene where they found a 29 year old Hannibal man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital and transferred on to a hospital in Columbia for treatment. Police say a male juvenile was also arrested in connection with the incident. Bond for Willemarck… Pettitt and Newman is set at 100-thousand dollars cash only. All three are held in the Marion County Jail.
