Former Adams County Deputy Arrested for Shoplifting

An investigation leads to the arrest of a former Adams County Sheriff’s deputy for shoplifting.

Quincy Police report the arrest Monday of 41-year-old Chad Tuzzo. He was charged with retail theft and served with a notice to appear.

Tuzzo is alleged to have stolen over $330 worth of items from Sam’s Club in Quincy between January and April of this year.

Tuzzo was a patrolman and deputy in the sheriff’s department from 1996 through 2008.

Tuzzo is scheduled for a motion hearing May 5.
