F&M Bank President to Retire
F&M Bank and Trust Company President Stevens Plowman is retiring.
Plowman’s banking career began as a teller and loan clerk with MCM Federal Savings Bank in 1967. He also worked for the Bank of St. Louis and Mercantile Bank of St. Louis before becoming the Chief Operating officer of F&M Bank in 1986. Plowman was elected as bank president in 1987.
A special reception is planned for August 21 from 2 until 4 p.m. at 505 Broadway. A Chamber After Hours Celebration is planned that day from 4:30 until 7 p.m.
